Could it be???

Really? Really, really? So, we went "out of town" this week....just for the day....ate lunch with friends....walked around the shops....late dinner at Outback (this particular one still has the Onion Soup that I LOVE)...and drove home with sleepy children. We decided that was enough. We didn't spend the money on hotels, etc. and we still had a pretty good week with each other, even though we decided not to drop kids off with baby sitters. (Oh, in case you didn't know, we'll be married six years tomorrow....)
Pumpkin developed a case of pink eye which we got to work on immediately....she lets us put drops in like a champ (except for that ONE time...) and already you can't even see the signs. Hubby went back to work for the weekend....starting yesterday. But I cleaned (a little-hey it still counts!) AND cooked a home cooked meal from scratch! Okay, so there were no vegetables...just a one course Beef Stroganoff....and I forgot to add the shot of lemon juice at the end....my brain isn't quite what it should be these days....but hey, I cooked. Pumpkin kept asking where the vegetables were. I could beat myself up over this, but instead I decided to take pride in the fact that my child a)knows what a vegetable is enough to know it wasn't present and b) actually needed an explanation of why her mother would be skipping that area of dinner...meaning I don't normally!
On with my point.
So for weeks, I have had NO APPETITE. I mean, I haven't even wanted ice cream. Nothing sounds good. It was more a matter of what can I force myself to eat without gagging. And oh yeah, nausea. And "morning" sickness. (That is the stupidest misnomer....ugh. I digress...) Anyway, on Monday night, I craved Chicken Pot Pie....from a local deli...so Ara had to drop off a meal to a family from church that just had a baby and then on he went to pick up dinner for us. That was the first meal I didn't force down. What victory! (I'm sparing you the icky details, don't you appreciate that?) Anyway....since then we've had one or two yucky mornings but other than that I've had an awesome week. Today kind of a gross morning just because the pollen was really thick yesterday...always affects my mornings. So last night, I cooked a meal from scratch and had it bubbling away as Hubby walked in the door. Ahhhhh.... that felt so nice. Not that it really matters....he typically will take what he's dealt when arriving home, even if that means he has to run and pick up a pizza after working 12 hours. But it felt good to me, because maybe, just maybe I can be on my way to "normal". Like, the pile of laundry on my couch that has needed to be folded for ....so long I'm not gonna admit to it? It is diminishing....slowly. Now I'm awaiting our ultrasound on Monday for sex determination to know which order I need to sort things the girls have outgrown.
I am planning a yard sale sometime soon and will either sell all the old stuff or sort it into sizes for baby #3 if it is in fact a girl. (Which I suspect....we'll see.) I have a lot of sorting to do...both girls are outgrowing clothes faster than I can keep up and I haven't had the energy to even look in those dressers. Hopefully if this is the beginning of feeling a little spunk again, I can get some things accomplished before my timer pops out!
Looking forward to getting ready for the baby. To paint or not to paint? We don't have bedding picked out if it is in fact another girl, but that room is already light pink. I'm sure Hubby would appreciate me coordinating the bedding with the walls instead of the other way around. If it is a boy....Oh well. Get the roller ready! And I have two ideas picked out for the boy that probably will never be...hehehe. Anyway I guess I'll have good room decor ideas for my future nephews? hehehe that's so long off I'll forget! Well, time to get off and rolling on this Saturday morning. My girls think breakfast is necessary or something....I'll let ya know what the verdict is on Monday!
